Luxembourg National Data Service (LNDS) supports public and private partners, including research institutions, in managing, sharing, and reusing data to enable research and innovation, in a trusted and compliant manner.
Because their services involve complex data infrastructure, governance frameworks, and research support processes, LNDS needed a way to explain these topics clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
To solve this, LNDS introduced interactive video experiences (iVX) with Videobot, creating a more engaging and accessible user journey. This approach supports LNDS' broader mission of enabling responsible and secure data reuse, where clear communication is essential for engaging diverse stakeholders.
LNDS provides a wide range of specialised services related to data management, access requests, and analysis support. Communicating these complex topics clearly on a website can be challenging due to their technical nature and diverse audience.
The LNDS team wanted to integrate video throughout the user journey to:
It was also important for LNDS to maintain a high level of control over how video content is hosted and delivered, in line with security and governance considerations.
LNDS therefore implemented a structured video strategy across their website and digital materials.
LNDS implemented interactive video experiences (iVX) across their digital ecosystem, creating a guided, full-funnel user journey for website visitors.
A homepage Videobot widget introduces LNDS and guides visitors through a short interactive video experience, helping them quickly understand the organisation’s mission and services. From there, users are guided directly to relevant service pages for deeper exploration.
On the services overview page, a Videobot slider presents the different LNDS services and allows users to quickly explore and understand the available support options.
Each individual service page includes an embedded iframe Videobot, positioned alongside the written content. This allows visitors to engage with a short explanation of the service while reading the page.
Examples include services such as Data analysis and visualisation support, Data cataloguing and more.
This combination of video and written content makes complex technical services significantly easier to understand.
LNDS also uses Videobot across additional communication channels:
This approach extends iVX beyond the main website into LNDS’ broader communication channels, including digital content, campaigns, and print.
By integrating Videobot across multiple touchpoints, LNDS created a structured video experience that helps guide users through complex data services. Over the course of nearly two years of collaboration, Videobot has become an integral part of how LNDS communicates its services and initiatives.
Visitor engagement shows that users actively interact with the Videobot experience while exploring LNDS services:
Across the collaboration period, this engagement translates into significant usage of Videobot across the LNDS website, including thousands of Videobot opens, video plays, and engaged viewers interacting with service explanations and educational content.
By combining homepage guidance, service level explanations, blog integrations, and secure video hosting, Videobot now plays a central role in how LNDS communicates complex data topics to its audiences. The impact of this collaboration is best reflected in the words of the LNDS team:
“Videobot has been a valuable tool for LNDS to communicate about data services in a more engaging and accessible way. It allows us to guide different audiences through content at their own pace, while maintaining full control over how information is presented and delivered. The flexibility of the platform, combined with clear analytics, helps us continuously refine our communication and better understand how stakeholders engage with our content.”
